8KTA3+ Problem - Please help

Hi all,

Im a newbie at this so please bear with me...

My Epox 8KTA3+ motherboard (running an AMD 1.4 cpu) now fails to boot (Video card doesnt initialise - no display).

The onboard LED is stating an error of 25. After looking in the manual, this simply says 'reserved'.

Can anyone help me out or give pointers on this please?

I have the exact same problem with my 1800 xp and epox8k3a.....my video will not display...! Any Help? can you please tell me if you get and answer...I tried to call epox but they do not answer.

I forgot to mention - my pc boots no further than this.

Let's see if I can help you. I have three of these boards. You said it won't boot "now." What did you change most recently? New video card? New BIOS? Add a CD or HD?

Have you tried clearing the CMOS? Try reseating your video card or try using another card.

Solution

I found out what the problem is:

POST error 25h is:

Enumerate PCI Bus Number
Assign memory & IO Resource
Search for a valid VGA Device & VGA BIOS


In my case, the graphics card is on its way out. Using another AGP card solves the problem.
