Can I leave matte primer color on case?

Honestly, I remember using that "engine ceramic" whatever they call it crap from auto zone. They should have matte colors and would suit the OP pretty nicely...

That stuff was meant for exhaust manifolds and wouldn't hold up well until baked. However, when painted onto an exhaust manifold, running the engine baked the finish pretty quickly.

Can I leave matte primer color on case?
