what do you guys think?

Edit forgot to mention would like as quiet as posible but not to the point of sacrificing cooling.

also would like to stay under 300 ish remember this is aussyland prices are wack

Definitely the GTZ block.

Pump is fine

Not a fan of resses, prefer t-lines myself.

What do you plan to cool? If its just the CPU then that rad is fine, if you plan to add a video card in the mix you may want to look at a 2x120mm fan rad.

Firstly, I'd get a 2x120 rad instead of the single .. It'll help cool down your hot 65nm Quad much better + give you a bit of headroom for adding another block down the line ..

CPU Block wise .. GTZ or FuZion V2 + Quad Core Insert ..

I don't have a clue about pumps so I'll leave a comment on that to someone who knows more .. I will say tho, don't get one of those AquaBays, pick up a Swiftec MicroRes instead.

well im not a HUGE fan of watercooling to start with so i will only be using this to cool the CPU. im hoping it will fit inside my P182 hence the initial thought of a single 120 rad. as for the res picked it cos i want to stick the pump in the 5.25 bays with some hdd mount addapters i have spare (nice and out of the way) + i dont know how i could fit a T line into a simple set up like this

only problem with those rads is i cant keep it all in the case. space behind my desk gets a bit tight so would like to keep it all internal if i can. will try drawup a lil pic of what i was planing and will get some input from you guys as to how to improve it

You could always mount your rad on top of your case. It makes it a little taller, but if it's done cleanly it can be very nice.

this was my first thought of how it would go and hence the Tt Res cos with the antec 5.25 drives it would be cake to slide it our 2" and fill a bit then back in not even take a side off.

Pros / Cons?

Any place over there that sells Thermochill radiators, Albyno? If so, you might check into a Thermochill PA160, which should be able to be mounted internally in your case and would give you some extra cooling capacity. But you might have to mount it (or that radiator you linked) to the front fan position instead of the back if you are going stricly internal with the loop.

A PA 160 comes with a 120mm shroud. I think it might fit inside, you can go to Thermochills website and get measurements. I think the 160 would fit your needs, you might have issues with 4 ghz tho, your temps won't ge really good.

Before you go water, can you turn the true to exhaust out the top and go push/pull fans? You might be surprised. Also, make sure you have all the fans on high in the case etc.

If you want quiet though, water is your next choice. Go a 120x2 rad if you want quiet. Sorry if it won't fit on the inside, thats the life of a watercooled rig unless you buy a monster case.

havent found any Thermochill rads to date Mud.

As for facing th TRUE to exhaust out top. that is the only way i have run it on my QX6700. When the 6700 arived i bought a x48 mobo to which wouldnt allow it to exhaust out the back cos they moved the CPU mount higher. the pic i listed is my old 965p board. i am toying with the idea of 2x120.1 rads one on the back as listed one on top where that fan is atm. would a second rad really increase cooling that much?

is that Alphacool Laing pump strong enough to pump thru a 120.2 or 120.3 rad + CPU block + res? after measuring up my case i cant fit the rads inside so am going to mount ontop of the case i think

i would think so cos i.m using practically the same pump but without the acryllic top for my gpu loop
there too is a 120.2 rad and a block
just a mcw60 block tho
i don't know how much difference in restriction there is from that one to the gtz block
but anyways in my loop it doesnt have any problems
