Hi all!
I am not sure if I am posting in the right section (but I saw tons of threads of the same type..so I figured, please correct me if I am wrong), but I wanted to ask the guys here, if my build is most bang for buck.
So I'm helping a friend build his first PC, and as we live in Australia, the cheapest place (with postage) that we found was to get our parts from PC case gear Australia, and as we have browsed for a while now, we have came up with the following list:

Seagate SSHD:
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=24833&cPath=344
This one was his choice as he wanted to compromise.

Case: Thermaltake T31 Urban
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=26961
Again, personal preference of cost compensation, looks and size.

CPU: AMD A10 6800K
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=23644
for this one, as we wanted to fit the budget, we went for an AMD, but we were unsure to go for this or a 7580k, but decided this for budget reasons.

CPU cooler: Coolermaster Hyper TX3 Evo
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=18944&cPath=23
This I chose as part of a gift for his Pc, based upon previous usage experience and cost.

PSU: Cougar RS650 650W 80 Gold
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=26076&cPath=535
This one was made solely based on cost minimization and a few calculations based on online power supply calculators.

GPU: EVGA GTX750 Ti OC 2Gb
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=876&products_id=27301
this was based upon the fact that he wanted a gaming build (along with the CPU choice) and this was the most I could fit into the budget.

Motherboard: MSI A88X G45 Gaming
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=27336
This was based on the fact that he wanted to later strip the insides of the PC apart and completley overhaul, and I chose this for him to have a decent Motherboard that he wont need to change (hopefully) as it has most of the necessities to moderate to high end gaming needs (not to the extent of bf4 high though lol)

Networking: TP-Link TL-WN951N Wireless N PCI Adapter
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=7823
This was chosen as it was triple band and a pretty low cost so...pretty straightforward :/

RAM: Gskil DDR3 Crucial 8gb stick
I am giving him one of my stick as I do not use all of my 24gb of RAM (also because im planning of having 2 white Hyper X ram sticks to go along with my two red ones later on :p)

DVD; Samsung 24x DVD-rw
One for normal use for about 20$ at a local store :)

the whole build (the websites part) totalled at $931 AUD (postage included) and that is around our budget, but we were wondering if that is the best with our budget ?
we plan on runnign at full hd on a single monitor, and probably be happy with a solid 50 or so FPS on BF3 set to high or you know, something that can play late games at 75-85% of their graphics with no sweat, if possible.
we only want to keep the Case and the SSHD, as well as our tight budget of $900 AUD.
Anything else; Please all advice welcome, I am hoping to see positive replies :)
Thanks in Advance!

You will want 2x4GB of memory and not a single stick.

Also, your PSU purchase reasoning is out of left field. You NEVER want to cheap out on a PSU. In my signature is a guide for good PSU's, look at one in the 500W range and get one from there. You cannot go wrong with Corsair though if that makes it easier.

What is your budget? You list a total, but not a budget.

Thank you, but i remembered to add a lil more info at the end just after you replied, and also after reading some reviews, the PSU seemed rewarding to say the least, but in saying that, thank you for the advice, but are you sure a 500W will be enough?

1 question is single monitor but what resolution?
2. If you're going to buy a discrete gpu get a AMD gpu that you can hybrid crossfire with the the APU's, IGPU.

I'll look through the website to see if I can put something together in the budget.

I would try to free up some cash for a better card.

You could free up some cash by using a more competitive case and kill the optical drive, not sold on the MSI gaming boards, would look to a AsRock Extreme 4+ board that will save you some money as well.

Save 30+ on the board, 30+ on the case and 20 on the optical builds

that would get you into a GTX760 or a 280 for roughly the same money

Grab an Athlon 760K.
That should allow enough budget for a 760 instead of a 750Ti.

ok, then what would you guys recommend for a board, and gpu? if i grab an athlon 760K?(thanks for the quick reply too! much appreciated)

I don't have any issues gaming on 4 g of ram.

seems aight then, I was juggling a few i5 builds originally but thought "nah, ill go see AMD, and I cam up with the one that started this post, but yes, the build you gave me actually captured the still newly-exposed-to-pc-world heart of my friend, so thumbs up all round :p

I would go 8GB. I have some trouble with BF4 with only 4GB... things tended to page out quite a bit.

Really ED I wonder what be the difference between our two setups? I don't have any issue running 4g, Though, I don't have any programs running in the background other then Afterburner.

what if I chuck in my 8gb stick on top of these (recommended by mandrake)
It would most likely be fine but not recommended. Mixing and matching ram especially on a new build isn't recommended.

Me either. I just know that, I got some occasional hitching when only running 4GB of ram and BF4. I stepped up to 8GB+ and no issues.

Dont "chuck" anything in. Get matching sticks.. 2x4GB would be my choice. Some can, as madrake states, get away with 4GB. For whatever reason, I can't. And if you can afford it, I would get it. If not, it is what it is.

I see, thanks again for all of your help by the way, I will go over the build that mandrake suggested one more time and I might place an order tomorrow morning (Sydney: currently 12am)
So thanks again for the help!
the post will be marked as solved but any further recommendations are welcome
Thanks again!
PS still juggling the thought if I should get the 2gbx2 or just use my g-skill standalone :/

We said a couple of times to get 2x??GB. You will want dual channel and not single channel ram.
