If you accepted the defaults during the v7 install, you will need to uninstall v7 before reverting v6.34, should you decide to do so.

Tell me what I'm missing; I'm running v7 but don't see anything regarding core A3 vs A4.

Project: 7624 (Run 381, Clone 0, Gen 17)

Project 7624 is a GPU project (Core15). Only SMP (CPU) projects are receiving the bonus, on top of that only CoreA4 (not CoreA3 or CoreA5) are receiving the bonus.

edit: on this page projects with GRO-A4 under the Code column will receive the 10% bonus.

22:56:41:WU01:FS01:0xa4:Mapping NT from 4 to 4

Also running: an A4 wu (FS01 = slot 1, 0xa4 = A4, mapping NT from 4 to 4 = 4 cores), but not enough of the log to tell which one.

I just setup a new VM Ubuntu 12.04 on my Q9300 computer, so that I could install v7. I'm going to let it run for a few days and see what the PPD is with the 10% bonus. If it's better than v6.34, then I will keep running v7; otherwise, I will go back to v6.34.

With Ubuntu 10.10 and v6.34, my Q9300 rig was getting 7200-7800 PPD on the A3 core wu's.

With Ubuntu 12.04 and v7, my first A4 core wu got about 8300 PPD including the 10% bonus.

Why could they have just changed the KFactor a bit so we don't have to do math manually? Maybe I should release another HFM with an option for +10% on A4? - so users can have (semi) accurate numbers.

Hmm, this last week I have been getting some new (for me) projects with rather less appealing PPD:

7904 - getting 13k PPD on this 8hour project -.-
7903 - is similar

But on the up side there are some like:

7024 - avging 39k PPD on this 3 Hour project
7025 - about the same ^

But am mostly landing :

8014 - had a Lot of these 23k PPD 1 hour projects

Luckily I only seem to rarely get the bad ones, maybe you caught a few of those this past few days?

My Q9300 doesn't produce a lot of PPD under any circumstances. Here is what I am getting.

wu 7809 = 8300 PPD
wu 8004 = 7800 PPD
wu 7646 = 7100 PPD
That's better than I am seeing on a 8004 = 5100.
But I am running W7 on a FX-4100 at stock speed.
These dang 762x GPU wu's are really killing the ppd.

I've been chewing thru a lot of small wu's, but they bring some points. Had to shut er down for a bit, the air coming out of my psu was almost 50c lol, and it was getting a bit cranky. I've kicked the crap out of my corsair since 07, it doesn't have the drive it did before, so I may go get a new psu today, and put this on my q9550, and retire my thermal take toughpower 650. My 775 setup is hard on that old psu, which is about 7 years old now

I need a service install to run this in the labs. Am I stuck with v6.34?
