Can't change resolution or colors

Hey i was trying to install a AUdigy but it wasn't working and today when i booted up my computer i noticed that it was stuck on 800x600 with 4 bit graphics and i can't change it. I have tried everything i can think of, new drivers installing all my hardware, updating windows but nothing will work, any suggestions?

Is the Audigy still in the computer?

If so, then try moving it to another PCI slot.

Any info you can give about bios settings would help.

no i took the audigy out completly. I have a soyo dragun plus mobo, what do you need to know about bios?

What operating system do you use? And do you have a code ten error for your vidio card?....check in device manager.

no i don't have a code 10 errror anymore i remember i had one before i put the new drivers in

is the driver still installed for your vid card?

you can check in device manager, then right click your vid card and click properties, then click the driver tab and you can see if you are using the normal driver. Sounds like you are just running the standard VGA driver.
