Ok...I read that a 1600+ is the equivilant to a pent 1.6ghz...
If you OC a 1600 to say a 2200 or a 1900, is it the same as a 2.2 or a 1.9??

I am assuming so, because AMDs seem faster at lower speeds because it can do more per clock cycle, is that correct? So a 1600+ OC to a 1900+ would be like a pent 1.9 ghz.

I am NOT going to OC my CPU again..I am just curious of how that would work...

yes, you are for the most part correct.

when overclocked to those speeds, the PR rating is equivalnt
to around the same p4.

but when you use a lower multi, and higher FSB, the PR rating
may exceed that of 133 XP's.

say you have a 1600+ at 10.5 x 133
this si equiv to around a p4 1.6

now if you had the same 1.4 at 7 x 200, then the PR would
probably be a bit higher, as we are seeing this with the new
166fsb XP's.

hope this helps

I will admit that I like knowing that my XP1600 is running at speeds that meet or exceed the cpus that both AMD and Intel are releasing now:D At least before they get overclocked it does.....:)

yep my 1600+ runs at 2ghz thats a 600mhz overclock on air so I can just imagine what AMD has to come next....67 dollars well spent...
