How do I delete system restore on WINME

I have 1 GB left, and its taking up 2GB. I need about 1.75 more, and this is the only file that is big enough. When I try to delete it it says it may be in use.

Anyone know how to delete it? Urgent, quick help needed please.

Go to Control Panel>System>Performance>File System

On the first tab -Hard Disk- Slide the System Restore Space Use to Minimum

Then go to the last tab -Troubleshooting- and check the bottom box to Disable System Restore.

This way you can minimize the amount of space it uses but I don't think it will let you delete the file.
