what is the clk gen spread specturn for?

The spread spectrum setting is for those rare instances where you computer is interfering with some of your (or your neighbor's) electronic equipment. If you get static on your TV and/or radio and/or wireless phone(s) when your computer is on, you might try enabling spread spectrum to see if that helps. It has something to do with the timing of refreshing memory.
