How od you start a PSU without a Mobo?

I know it can be done, i have seen pics. Basicalyl you have to connect things in the ATX plug, but which ones?
As always, all help is appreciated, thnx.

The "tester" you pointed to may not be very good for use in a TEC/Phase change system where the PSU will be on all the time. Here are some notes from Directron

Notes: (1) The tester will generate some heat. Do not leave the tester connected to the power supply for any extended period of time. (2) Our technicians and service department love this time-saving device. They said, "It works!"
