need help choosing a digicam

k guys my moms wants a digital camera. I personally know very little about them, but i see threads about them quite often so some people here must know a lil somthing about them. she mostly takes pictures of family and occasionally landscapes. I would be using it for taking pictures of cars, car parts, comp parts among other things. being able to hold 30 or so pics would be nice. we're looking for a good camera in the $300 range and must be from a store i can walk into , no ordering.btw i have cc,bb,cusa,om,od and i think even a frys nearby.


anyone got an tips or info for me?
