can someone send me explorer.exe from winme?

well i accidentally dl'd a virus to my mothers comp (yes i'm retarded) and just got done with the av scan. the only file it couldn't repair was explorer.exe

so if someone has winme can you PLEASE send me explorer.exe so i don't have to format this thing with 2k or xp. i know they are better but i just don't want to format it at all if i don't have to

Have you tried reinstalling Windows on top of itself? That should replace your explorer.exe file.

i don't have winme.. if i did i would grab the file off the cd and just replace it and be done with it.

just searched me disk, explorer.exe is part of the install, you cant just extract it

I believe you'd have to copy it from an installed ME.
BTW, doesn't your mothers rig have a restore disk or install CD?
