Hi!

I discovered several problems with my tuv4x:

1. I can't change vcore in bios. I've tried bios versions up to 1006.002.
It's possible to choose voltage up to 1.8 it doesn't give effect. Tried wire
trick and it works, default voltages at 1.60 and 1.65 instead but values up
to 1.8 doesn't work. it stays at 1.5V.

2. With certain combinations of system/pci frequency, even under cpu default
with standard vcore, bios freezes after a few seconds. I have a tualatin
celeron 1200. I can't change cmos again without clearing rtc ram?! 120*12
works fine but not some lower FSB between 110 and 120...

I've returned the board to the retailer but got it back. They unsure if this
phenomenon is under warranty. They claim this function is unsupported
because it involves overclocking. But the thing is; I've never been able to
change the vcore through BIOS, even before the wire trick and any attemps to
overclock.

The board is apparantely defect in some way. So to my question: Is this
board under warranty . The shop are unsure and says it can be very expensive
for me if the warranty is voided?!

This is my second TUV4X (BIOS went down on the first). However, with the first board I could change vcore up to 1.65V with actual result, but not with this. the wire trick should yield me a default voltage of 1.65 (which it does) and steps up to 1.8V, but nothing works except default voltage (1.5, 1.6 or 1.65V). So this feature is broken on this board but worked previosly on the first board. I really want to use this feature, becuse my 1.2 GHz CPU is able to do 1.6GHz at 1.8V (tested in another board). I suspect I got a faulty mb in return for the first, but how can I prove that and do ASUS accept that as a warrant issue?
