How well will linux handle a mobo change over to an exisiting setup? I want build a linux game server and have a A7V mobo to use, while I am waiting for a A7V333 mobo to come back from being RMA'd.

I will be using Mandrake 9.1

I know in a windows enviroment this kind of stunt usually ends up in a big mess.

all you have to do, is add your new mobo module at bootup, and remove the old one

and you should be good

Linux handles this sort of thing with much more grace than windows. Usually chipset support is built-in to the kernel and it figures things out when you boot up. The only problems come with onboard components such as NIC's and sound which may not have drivers in the kernel, in which case you must install them yourself.
