I was having problems oc'ing much higher than 1.42 on my kk266 and i tried disabling the internal cache in the bios. It booted into windows(after about 5 minutes) at 150x10. So...does anybody know what I did?

the internal cache on your chip provides a fullspeed path from the cpu to some ram located in the chip dye and greatly improves performance, if you disable it it will likely overclock higher but, the performance would likely be less than if you had the speed lower with it enabled. so baisiacly it just isnt worth the frequency increase at the cost of the cache
