That's the dquestion, got an older thinkpad755cd with 100mhz proccesor that's been shaken to much. Anybody know if you can swap in a newer mobo with faster cpu?
 
This is a laptop correct?

If so you are stuck with what you got, almost all laptop bodys are made from the ground up to house the electronics that are in it unlike desktops which have form factors to obay by. So sry dude but in short laptops have no upgrade path besides RAM, HDD and if you are lucky processor.

Yes, Mr. $T$ is right. Note that if you had any chance it would be with another thinkpad 755 mobo... too old for nowadays anyway, so you wouldn't really notice any improvement. (i.e what's the point in going from a 100 to a let's say, 120 Mhz processor....?)
