I ask because I have a USLogic USB 60 gig that doesn't show up in explorer. A USB thumb drive works fine. I was reading an Asus newsgroup and someone there said that firewire doesn't work well on the NF7 but works great on the A7N8X but USB works fine on the NF7 and has problems on the A7N8X.

I haven't had time to pursue my problem, figuring it was a combination of using Win2003 and a cheap drive, but maybe it's more generic?

A solution. It's an OS thing. With 2003 (at least) I need to assign a drive letter manually to access a USB drive. Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Computer Management, Drives. Something like that. It shows up there, right click, change drive letters, and assign it a drive.
