Weird problem

I just got my computers back. I installed windoze2k on my main machine and set it up for my DSL and everthing. I decided to download the current service packs and such, but when I try, nothing happens. If I restart, I can get it to check for updates, but I can't get anything to install. Also, when I open up media player, it closes itself within a second. I suspect that there are other problems just waiting to be discovered. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

update: I can't copy or paste (one or the other or both, can't tell) and when I click a link that opens in a new window, nothing happens.

I feel stupid for posting this now. I should have known that I had contracted blaster worm again. All better now.
