I install all my progs on my D: drive, and not my windows drive.

How can i make it to when i go to install a program, it automatically goes to the drive insted of C:\Program Files.

as far as i know all programs that you install default to c:/program files, however in one of the first couple steps of installing it usually asks where you want it installed to, and just change the c: to d:

alright i have replied like 5 times to this thread, but this time i really found an easy way to do it. use TweakUI. its from microsoft, and you can download it here:
http://download.microsoft.com/downl...a6-b352-839afb2a2679/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

in the program, navigate to My Computer>Special Folders
then in the box at the top go to Programs and then click the Change Loation button.

be warned however, that this might cause problems. IMO, it might just be better to change the locations manually, but i could see how it would be a pain.

edit: yet another edit, one of the potential problems can be seen here:

I could, but why do that when i could be lazy?

zip22: Ive heard of TweakUI, but didnt know it would do this, but i also understand what your second link is saying.
