My System :
Asus A7N8X-E Dlx
Asus V9570/TD 256 MB
AMD 2800
2*SATA Maxtor 160 Gb raid 0
2*512 DDR Kingstone
PSU 450W Dual Fan Gold Plated ( q-Tec )

Op Sys : win Xp corporate

When i first assembled the pc i had a 350W and only 512 DDR of ram ; asus probe and mbm5 read 13.6v / 13.3v so i changed psu to the one listed above and i put in also another slot of 512 of ram .
When i restarted the pc the 12v line was good but after few mins i crashed and I got an error report and a minidump file was created.
This happened 4 times.
I had the old ram in slot #2 and i put the new one in slot #3.
1 hr has passed from last crash and im not havin nemore problems but im not sure it wont show again.
Wtf can it be ? And how can i read the minidump file ?

that sounds like a memory issue, when i overclock my ram too much and get instability, it often crashes and dumps. you say you put in another stick of ram, check the BIOS to be sure you have the settings for the ram right for the new stick (frequency/timings) it may be weaker than your older stick.

It happened again.
Here is the report :
C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini082704-01.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Pit\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER3.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml

What should be the right frequency for a kingston 512 DDR ?
It says its running 200 Mhz in single channel mode.

i dont really know wats goin on .. im not havin nemore blue screens but just after playin few minutes any game i get an access violation exception.
Is the new ram not working properly ?

What's the exact access violation exception error you're receiving? I would suggest running Event Viewer (in order to access the error logs, and check for any critical errors)...Start | Run | Type eventvwr.msc and click OK | Highlight "Application" and "System" independently in the LH pane | Right click any error message(s) (critical errors are in Red), and select "Properties" | Write down a couple of the latest critical error messages exactly as they appear (under the "Description" field), and post them in this thread.

Also, open the System Information tool by typing msinfo32 in the Run box | Expand "Components" | Highlight "Problem Devices", and look for any problems that might be listed there.

The strange thing is that removin the newest stick i dunt have any problems.
I also tested my memory with windows memory diagnostic but all standard tests succeded.

ok the conclusion is this :
both of the sticks can work in single channel ... when i use em both in dual channel all things fuk up ( even explorer sumtimes ) .
How ?!?
my mobo supports the dual channel Dimms and i respected the tab1 of my manual for recommended memory configs...

Running your RAM in DC puts more stress on the modules than running in SC, and as such normally requires more voltage to the DIMM's. If you're running your Kingston at it's rated SPD of 200MHz, then I would suggest a "DDR SDRAM Voltage" of at least 2.8Vdd. Run Memtest86+ to make sure the RAM passes all the tests...if any errors are found, either loosen the timings or up the Vdd (or both). You can download Memtest86+ from the following site...
