When I go for max gpu and memory on my msi 9800 pro using Ati Tool I get a maximum gpu of 412 amd memory of 365. If I use ATI Tray I get max gpu of 430 and memory of 380. If I set ATI Tool to 430/380 I get artifacts.
Which is correct?

Ati tool is more sensitive to artifacts. (one pixel off will trigger it) ATI tool and Ati tray tool gave me the same overclocks as you. In games and benchmarks the higher clock speeds should work without visible artifacts except in the most demanding spots. I would encourage you to look at the pro to XT BIOS flash since you can run artifact free at XT clock speeds.

By the way. Is your 330 watt PSU a concern for you if you overclock?

I swapped out the 330 with a 360 watt. I will edit my sig.
Everything I have read about the MSI 9800 pro it already has the xt bios because it shows up as an xt.
