yes that card is a 256bit card. check to see if it has the r360 core ;)

It's definetely a 256 bit card, and it's also quite likely that it has both an R360 core, and an XT PCB that will let you use both the temperature probe, as well as the useless overdrive feature.

Rojakpot's guide

The 256MB Radeon 9800 Pro's BIOS restricts the card to its official clock speeds of 380MHz core and 350MHz memory. It also disables the OVERDRIVE and thermal diode features of the 9800XT.

But if you reflash the 256MB Radeon 9800 Pro with a Radeon 9800XT's BIOS, you unlock its hidden features and the card automatically runs at 412MHz core and 365MHz! Just like any other Radeon 9800XT.

You should note that this guide is a little outdated; all new 128 meg 9800s are coming with R360 cores, and most come with XT PCBs right now. Almost all 9800s can overclock to >XT speeds without resorting to a BIOS flash. There are no recently produced 9800 Pro cards that don't have R360 cores, and only a very few still come with Pro PCBs, or non-reference PCBs (a non-reference example being MSI's "green" 9800 Pro).

Saying that the 9800 Pro BIOS "restricts" the card to it's specced clock speeds is untrue - it's really easy to modify your card's BIOS with whatever "stock" clock speeds you want using a little program called RadEdit.

If you have an R360 core, and an XT PCB however, a 9800 XT BIOS flash is a great idea - there is a sticky in this part of the forums with detailed instructions on how to flash your card's BIOS.

I took off the hsf last night and put some AS3 on it and it sure enough was an r360. it has hynix 2.2ns memory i believe :)
