x800 directx 8

anyone having a problem with their x800 pro's not running directx 8 games? i can run counterstrike: source all day, but the classic counterstrike crashes with direct 3d and openGL both. I play Empire Earth, and it crashes a lot too, but Halo runs strong. I figure it's a driver error, but I want to make sure by checking with other X800 owners...

Well, any person one here would think its a driver problem to find out, check other drivers.. If you still have problems then you post back.

what other drivers. i've tried the cats that shipped with my card, the 4.8's, and the 4.9's. I heard bad things about the omegas, but if you think i should try them

Last night I played 4 hours of EE, no problem except for the damn mouse cursor has a bluebox outline around it.

Try the newer 4.10's or the beta 8.07's. I high recommend the latter tho.

As for Omega's. They are great drivers, never a single complaint about them from me.
