ok, iv currently got 1gb ocz pc4000gold that does 250fsb@stock 2.6v 2.5-3-3-8, or do 290ish at 3-3-3-8 at 2.8v - but iv upgraded to a64 and iv got the opportunity to get some ocz pc3200 VX stuff thatl do 250fsb ish at 2-2-2 timings at high volts....
should i stick with what iv got or get the VX stuff? im not sure how important timings are to a64, as with p4 theyre pretty irrelevant at the fsb's iv been using ;)

Well here is my problem with your logic. You know for certian what your current RAM will do, but you know absolutly nothing on how the VX will do. Personally I'd wait until you have your A64 put together before you decide what to do

Good point mate, I wasnt sure how much timings make a difference to a64 performance...
