The new motherboard i am recieving is an ata 133. Will my Hard drive work?

Yes - ATA is backward-compatible, meaning it will work with slower drive-connections. With ATA133, anything from ATA33 upwards will be fine.

Is IDE the same as ATA? I am sorry but I haven't been taught this yet in my A+ certification class.
