I just bought the dell 1905fp monitor and I want to run it at its native resolution of 1280x1024, but bf1942 insists I only use 1280x960. This makes all text unreadable and the graphics are not what I think they should be. I can play UT2k4 at 1280x1024 just fine. I read online about editing the video.con files and I tried that, but it always reverts to 640x480 or something like that when I try to force it to run at the resolution I want. Is there something I am missing? How are all the guys with widescreen monitors fixing this?
BTY, I installed the game with my old monitor, could this be part of the problem?
*edit* nevermind, I found out you just have to make all of the video.con files read only, then it will work.
