ok, i posted in the general forum, asking if i could do some folding on my machine, then upload all the info at once, (i'm on 56k and don't want to tie up the phone all day) and could it be done thruogh a http/ftp proxy? my pc dosn't have a modem, so the only way is to upload from my dads pc (does have a modem) or proxy thruogh dads pc. is there any way that this could be done??

Yes. Download the client and install it on YOUR DADS machine... stop the client. Copy all files to a floppy or thumbdrive or send it to your machine over the network. On YOUR DADS machine, open the registry Start > Run > type regedit > Enter. From there navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PandeGroup - right click the folder and choose 'export'. Save that to your machine too. BEFORE you run folding, take the reg entry you exported and right click it on YOUR machine and click 'merge'. Now your Dad's machine and YOUR machine have the same security ID for FAH. So, when your machine is done, you can take the files to your dads machine and upload, then download the new WU then move it back to your machine. You wont need to run the reg entry again on either machine.

you can also set your computer to automatically dial up, check some of these threads

basically though you set it to automatically dial in when it needs the connection and then set it to hang up once the connection is idle for a few minutes so it only dials in when it needs to send a WU and get a new one.
