need some fast storage.


I already have Raptors in raid 0.

I now need somthing for massive storage. Somthing 200-400Gb.

I want the absolute best SATA or IDE drive on the Market.

The Maxtors with 16MB cache are currently the fastest SATA drives on the market. The highest they comes is 300GB.

Get the new Hitachi Deskstar 500gb drives. The density on those platters are much higher so the read/write heads don't have to move as much to get information resulting in faster seek times.

Oh really? Last time I checked my Hitachi T7K250's took that crown (especially when it comes to seek times):
