"Some of the G.Skill reps are saying how GeIL's retail products do not compare to the engineering samples we receive and test. This is not true. Have you ever seen one of the G.Skill guys post @ Xtremesystems.org with a huge memory overclock from their modules? Did you wonder how come nobody else can even get close to that overclock with their retail modules? Obviously their modules were hand-picked, yet their retail products generally do not fare nearly as well (yes, even the PC4800 FF.) With GeIL One, high clocks are a foregone conclusion as GeIL speed-bins the top 30% of all TCCD they have and this 30% gets used in GeIL One modules, whether you are a "Power User" like me or a normal consumer.

Another of the GeIL reps is poiuy223 of Insanetek. Here's what he has to say on the matter (it's worded better than I can do so I will just quote him.)
"If you've seen the GeIL One series, you'll know that the overclocking potential is superb. Thing is, all those results that you've seen, they're labeled as the "Special Fan Club" edition. Sure it's specially cherry picked but I'll have to tell you the process:

1. GeIL speed-bins the top 30% of all TCCD they get
2. Those top 30% gets made into GeIL One
3. Then out of those GeIL One sticks, GeIL cherry picks special sticks just for their "special fan club". So I guess it's the best of the best. That is the special treatment they give to their power users. I am one of them. The review sample I receive will be a GeIL One "special fan club" edition.

This doesnt mean that the GeIL One sticks you buy will be crap. It's still the top 30% of TCCD out there. It's still good. Of course GeIL isn't going to go through all gajillion sticks so you still have a chance of getting something that's even better than what the "special fan club" gets.

Why am I posting this? This is to clear up the confusion or rumor spreading by a certain company about GeIL sending out "special fan club" edition. They tell people that retail GeIL One sticks won't be able to achieve the same overclocks. The thing I don't understand is, those people post results and set WRs that no one can even come close to with their memory. They are the reps of that company, and so are we (meaning the power users) of GeIL. Do I just sense a big cry baby whine?"
These modules are very versatile. They are rated for 1.5-2-2-5 (tCL-tRCD-tRP-tRAS) @ PC3200 (400MHz) and 2.5-4-4-7 @ PC4800 (600MHz) at a command rate of 1T.

If you want to post your ram resutls here, great. But I won't allow this to be a forum for a tit-for-tat between Gskill and Geil representatives or their repsective fan clubs. The users of this forum tend to formulate their opinions based on the actual results of the shpping modules other non-affiliated users actually obtain, anyway. What allegations Geil or Gskill may or may not make are not of particular interest and in nearly all cases belong on another forum.

To add to what larva said, I'm a bit disappointed with people posting results with no regards to proof of stability. I can boot into Windows and run SuperPi 1M at 315MHz, but that doesn't mean my RAM is stable.

Please show us proof of stability :)
