Im sure this is an easy one..I want the entire icon text to show for my desktop icons. I have some long file names such as "My downloaded files off the web" and it only shows "My downloa..." how can i get it to show the whole name. I had a small program that did it but i dont want to have to run a program im sure its just a registry setting.

Thanks in advance

oh yeah BTW its XP Home

Get into advanced appearance options and increase the horizontal and vertical spacing of your icons. This will allow for longer text under each icon.

Right click on desktop select Properties
Click on the Appearance tab
Click the Advanced button
Select Icon spacing in the drop down and increase, then OK/Apply to get the spacing.

On my machine, I have to re-boot to get the new spacing to take affect, YMMV.
