i guess they upgraded the speed from, 768 to about 1.5, but guess how i found out? well, i have my modem hooked into the router, and with the speakeasy speed test i get 760 dead on. i rebooted my router, still the same. been having trouble connecting lately.

so i decide for pretty much the first time in 4 months to plug my comp directly into the modem. 1.5 instantly, faster uploads. plugged the router back in, and yup, back to 760.

anyone know what is preventing my router from the upgrade speeds?

thanks!

I actually have no idea, I have the same problem with my setup (modem>router>comp(s))
. I find bypassing the router solves the disconnects, and raises my speeds (like u stated above). But only having my router as a firewall, I survive.
