jfilechooser for APplet

hi, for my java class im making a program and i'm be able to open the little window that allows you to pick a file. like on word when u click on "open" and that dialog box opens up and u choose a file. i know u use jfilechooser but i'm not too sure how to use it. and it's a JApplet that im trying to use it on. any help would be really appreciated thanks.
