FEAR not working

The Fear demo is not working for a friend for some reason. He has the latest directx and when he launches the game it the site just pops up.

whats wrong?

He has a Geforce 2 MX 200 or 400 im not sure.

What does he have for a system. Does it meet the minimum requirements. What do you mean the site pops up? The game manufacturers website?

the game manufacturers site only. i have a fealing its because his comp sucks too much.

But the thing is i've seen the game played on onboard video just fine and it palys on my other comp with a ti4200.

The site coming up may tell that it wants you to read the minimum specs. I saw a game once that took you to a page that listed the required specs, if the computer didn't meet the requirements.

this page is just the manufacturers page after you finish playing the demo. i get the exact same site when i play.

from what i remember gf2 mx is a dx7 part...it doesnt even support dx8 let alone dx9...

Yeah, I am leaning toward the video card not having enough power to run it.
