I've got a brand new T-Bird 1400 (Unlocked) , Epox 8kha+, 256 Mb 2.5 cas & Cooler Master Dp5-6I11A.
Now it's running @1500 (150x10) and CPUIdle & MBMonitor shows Idle 40-41° and MB 23.
My chassis is one side open.
What do you think?
Have I to upgrade my case to a performing Lyan PC-12?

Those idle temps don't seem too bad to me. You might like to post your load temps to give us a better idea.

Just use something like Folding@Home, SETI@Home or Prime95 to stress it for about an hour and then tell us your load temps.

As for the HS, lose it and get something better. @ 1500 Mhz, those birds sweat. Hell, mine can get up to 52c under heavy load w/ the case on and its only at 1215.

drop something like a Glaciator on it, or if you have the cash, pick up a Swiftech 462-A (I think). Thats about the best low noise air cooling solution available today.

My T-Bird is really Hot -2 ?

Some new fresh meat to value.
Let's go:

MB Epox 8KHA+ (!!!! the best MB i've ever buyed)
AMD T-Bird 1400 @1500 (150x10)
256 Mb DDR PC2100 CAS 2.5
Cooler Master Dp5-6I11A
Quantum Fireball 20.4 Gb
Prophet Kyro II 64 MB
SB Live 5.1
......
Bios Vcore 1.765 V (but MB5 show 1.82)
VDimm 2.60 V

New test (ambient: 20C°)
Idle 37° CPU , MB 22°
1 hour Mid- Stressed (NFS Porsche) 44
1 hour heavy stressed (@Seti) 45

However, despite of temperature, i've tried to overclock @1600 but occurred the same windows error "error loading virtual peripheral". The last time i've got an error like this t'was when my AMD K6-2 300 had been ovrclk to 380 with W95.

Thanks to all ...for all.

Have you tried upping the Vcore a bit? w/ ur temps close to 50 be carefull. Its best not to go past 50C°

Getting an aluminum case wont help your temps, they just look cool and are easy to cut, but the case doesnt act as a heatsink. You would be better off putting in some fans, but your case temps seem good so that wouldn't be the problem. I would say you need a better heatsink and thats about it.
