samsung error checking software

the software to check my samsung drive is dos based, but my drive isnt being found by windows (if i try and define an array, it finds it.........) so i cant run the software. anyone know of a way i can either a)get this to run or b)know anything else that will do it. the drive is getting warm and spinning.

this drive has been hotswapped. and it didnt work afterwards.
