booting XP from a (ugh) usb1 drive

amd 2100xp, 256 ram, how long should I expect it to take?

good luck lol iuno how fast it will be but shouldnt it be about the same time as a regular ide hardrive? maybe 30 secs slower?

Normal hard drive - 100mB/s if you believe the label, using a nero speed check, about 10-30mB/s. Usb - 1mB/s. But, it depends how much windows wants to access the drive, and how much time it spends just doing nothing... (at least, not accessing the drive...)
