I spent ALL day Saturday redoing 3 machines here @ the house. :bang head

1) Wifes pc = dead hdd (and I mean DEAD!)
2) 805 DC machine = hdd went belly up. (overheats or something?) :shrug:
just shuts off while installing winderz ( was working but I touched it)
3) a co-workers pc that got a nasty porn virus from her husband. :eek:


#1 is up and rock'n!
#3 is up & running just gotta activate it.
#2.... gotta find a small Folding hdd off my shelf.

So I get no PPD for today. :(

#3.... M$ is closed on Sundays and I can't find a better # for them. :mad:

#1, well, lost all teh files. but got a working hdd in it & now it runs.

#2.... Tried 3 different hdds in it & still the same problem.

reboot after an install (like it should) & doesn't come back on.
(same spot every time /different OS's)

wait 45secs - 1 min & then it come on by depressing the button.
-starts all over again & reinstalls what it just did. :bang head

3 different OS's too. tried getting borgix onto it, (#4) but I was unsuccessful at getting 707MB onto a 703MB disk. (Nero overburn)
Can't find my Overclockix cd either.

I'm thinking its an over amprage on the PS really.

cpu volts are low enuff, (805 sys) I dropped the vdimm down to 1.8.... hdd, cdrw & a Brand new Water pump that now plugs into the PS. :mad:

I luv the pump, but hate the way it attaches.

Seems my DC will be down for the next 8 weeks. :cry:
 
Computers suck. I just RMA'd a board last week, and from the looks of it, I'll be doing another RMA this week too. :bang head



Maybe I'll get another hobby...maybe lawn-tractor racing! :D
 
I'm sorry warrior (no I'm not). Get that 2nd one back up ASAP (how about never?). You've been doing pretty good (you 60023 points ahead of me).

Just got done making my reservations. :D

No on base availabilty. (darn :rolleyes: )

Ever go on a business trip & find that place, where you say wow?

That's where I'll be staying. (very nice place)

Has internet acess too. ( but my lappy is DOA, TU, RIP :cry: )

Might go buy one real quick for the trip & give it to the wife after.

Try going into the BIOS and disabling the boot sector write protection ;)

Sorry, it was delted by one of those generic clean your track programs.
the ones that take the good stuff & leaves the bad. (torjans/virus')

I ended up wiping the hole 9 yards & was able to activate it after reading the instructions correctly. :p

They took it home & plugged it in, & right away got hit with 3 virus.

That AOL / Kaspersky AV proggy (AVS) really works great. (didn't work on mine - cut the web off, had to uninstall)

But she was telling me that she had a talk with her other half.
