I was to see which one will consumpt less power and produce less heat?!!

both CeleronD:

2.53ghz Prescott core?? or 3ghz CedarMill core??

my feeling is the prescott b/c lower frequent, but may be 45nm cedarmill will offset it??

just FYI, the pressie is 90nm, and the cedarmill is 65nm. ;)

you are one step ahead. ;)

i would think the cedarmill would win in powerconsumption.

It depends on your stock voltage. You could get a 2.5 Prescott on 1.4V to use less power than the 3.0 Cedarmill at 1.8V, given that the chip doesn't crap out. Since the stock voltages are relatively the same for those two processors, the 65nm will be at a less power consumption. The reduction in transistor size with the same voltage drop reduces the voltage required with the same current, and thus less power.
