Difference between these two cards?

I'm going to be getting an 8800GTX soon and I've been looking at Microdirect (since they are open between xmas and new year) - in particular, these two cards:

XFX 8800GTX
http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.aspx?ProductID=15597&GroupID=1880

BFG 8800GTX
http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.aspx?ProductID=15512&GroupID=1880

I was wondering what the difference was? Aside from the £70 difference in price.

Is it worth getting the XFX one? I've only ever had real experience with Gainward cards - I don't know how the different manufacturers stack up. Can anyone advise me on what to get?

Thanks.

Edit: just noticed this as well:

The same BFG card for £422 - is it worth pouncing on any of these?

Sometimes manufacturers provide cards that are factory overclocked. These are all at stock speed so no difference. The only differences might be things you can't tell until you have the card, ie. noisiness of the fan, warranty and return policy, quality control of the unit, etc. You might get some indication by reading reviews.
Both are good companies and I would get the least expensive if you are not a fan of either company.

Thanks for the response. I drove out and bought the XFX one - got the last one in stock, fortunately :D

Going to install it now so I'm expecting it to screw over my machine as all upgrades do...

I'm also hoping I can continue to use my 6800GT in my AGP slot (mobo has both AGP & PCI-E) to run a 3rd monitor.

Might also have something to do with ram timings.. cheaper the card often times means how good or bad the ram is (timing wise)

Eh...my last BFG card was a horrible overclocker, so is my current one (got it for free, hey?). My last XFX card fried its self before I even got to use it...twice...long live eVGA. Thats the difference to me.

Agreed. eVGA is probably the best nVidia based makers I have experienced. Their RMA program is top notch.

I'll third the vote for eVGA if you can get one. I thought I had finally killed my 6800GT, but with the lighter water block on it now it appears to be working 100% again. It's just a very good quality card, and I heartily recommend it (them)!

Edit: I had written "I'll second the vote" but I was too slow in posting so I "fixed" it.

If you notice I already bought the XFX one.

It's working so far, with a couple of dodgy fixes due to my lack of forethought. I had to force it into the card-steadying-slots on my stacker and I'm running on a single PSU wire with 2 PCI-E connectors instead of 2 dedicated wires, but I will remedy that tomorrow.
