i have about 2,100 to spend for him and he definitly wants top end video card and a 24 inch widescreen monitor. i think those right there are going to cost the builk of the money, other than that 2-4 gigs of ram and not sure to go with amd or intel on this one but would like help pricing this out for him. he said he would buy on newegg mostly, i do want to get him some sata drives to, maybe at least 1 500 gig for storage and a 150 raptor for gaming and os. thx for the help..

processors, motherboards and ram, are what it seems i need help buying, also cases that look cool and are as quiet as can be, psu's i was looking at maybe ocz or antec for the cost.

ok, this can be done eaisly.

Intel for sure, 2GB of RAM, 8800GTX(SLI if there is enough money left) eVGA 680iSLI mobo.

Pick a case, and a DVD drive, and you haven't pushed 2,100. For not too much more than 2,100, he could get SLI 8800GTX's. but then if your going 8800GTXSLI you mught as well get a U120 and OC the hell outta the CPU so it keeps up with the cards.

edit: I forgot about a monitor. 1500 without the second 8800GTX

wow thx ill look into it, yeah i wanted to oc his system to and he was looking for 1 video card, i told him sli it later then when prices come down hehe..

edit
