CMOS only has options for USB FDD, USB CDROM, and USB zip-ls120. Will I be able to fool the cmos by using a hard drive?

want to boot from USB, but...

Trial and error might work here. Try the floppy drive option first. Also, what are you trying to boot into exactly? It might be easier to just use a cd (provided none of the options work).
