Guys in win 98 i was able to start run and type in msconfig, or winipcfg, but in win2k i cant do that, so how do i get to winipcfg and msconfig???

I'm not sure about msconfig, but for winipconfig you can use the command-line utility "ipconfig" alone for ip information or with the /release and /renew switches to release and renew.

He's right about the IPCONFIG at the command line. As far as MSCONFIG goes, you have a couple of choices. You can use thirs party software or obtain a copy of MSCONFIG and place it in the SYSTEM32 folder of your install root for limited functionality.

omg i actually forgot how to go back to c:/ once you'ce typed cd windows, please tell me how its driving me crazy...
