I ran 3dmark 05 with the new 9800gt i got today and i only get a score of 12685! isnt this a bit low? see my system specs below!

Two words : CPU, RAM.
That processor and the fact you only have 1gb of Ram is causing the performance to suffer. Get an E8500 with 2x2gb of 800mhz Ram then that score should be around 16-20k I guess, not sure on 05. It will beat that score on the 06 version anyway. Your gaming performance will be limited by the lack of ram, as most games today love pc's with 2-4gb, possible more for vista.

ye true! i dont have the budget for a new cpu atm the moment but how much will a extra gig of ram help ?
