All for just under $1000! Hope I'm not missing anything. What do you guys think?

Everything looks good but I would save money on the Ram and PSU. Unless you are future proofing which is always a good idea that PSU is overkill. You can get an OCZ 500W psu on rebate for $25 from new egg. Also you can get lower clocked ram like the G.skill 4gb kit for $45. Other than that I like all your selections!

Will 500w be enough for overclocking?
I think I'll stick with the ram, 40$ w/ rebate is pretty cheap.

Oh I didn't see the $30 mail in rebate! If you arn't going SLI/Xfire it will definitely be enough to over clock. However, with that being said the Corsair PSU is definitely a great choice but it's only draw back is the price tag. Other than that you will definitely have a great rig. I just built in that same case today (my 2nd time) and I must say I really do recommend it! However I'd add 2 120mm fans to your order for the top of your case.

Also I recommend getting an extender for the 4pin power connector at the top of the motherboard;that way you can run that cord on the backside of the motherboard tray. Also make sure you have long a enough sata cables if your optical drive is sata.

$1000, WTF, thats way too much for that rig

I got my rig a couple of weeks ago for $1000
Specs are in my sig, my specs are better than that, and for less cash LOL

Apparently you can't read and like to thread crap, because if you could you would see their is a 24 inch monitor included in this build.

Their is a promo code for that monitor to take $70 off that I received in my email.

Okay today I made a couple decisions on things. I decided I want my current pc to still be usable, so I'm not taking the HD out of this one. The only thing I'm taking is the videocard, keyboard, and mouse. This also means I needed an OS so I went from a 24" to a 22" to compensate the cost of vista 64.

$1,043.86

I decided to change the powersupply to a different one, even though the OCZ 500W PSU was only $25, most reviews complained of an extremely loud pitched noise. So I decided to get a more well made one for an extra $15.

Now that I have 64bit I can use more ram so I doubled on the quantity.

I'm getting the Zalman Heatsink because the one that comes with the Core 2 Duo is suppose to be complete crap.

I switched to the Antec 900 basically for the looks.. with the combo deal makes it just as cheap as the Cooler Master.

Out of coincidence there was a combo deal with the HD I was getting with vista, so thats a nice bonus.

Hows this looking? Do I have everything to assemble it and make it function now?

Thanks.

Looks too high to me. It's almost the same system I built a year ago and you are paying more.

E8400 - $149.99 - Microcenter
Antec 900 - $79.99 - Microcenter
Also there is a $50 GC @ Microcenter with purchase of Vista Ultimate and a HD, CPU, or MB

I wouldn't suggest that PSU but it may be fine. I'd stick with Antec or Corsair for a few extra dollars.

I just got most of my new build parts below in sig from microcenter. They will also match new egg prices. (I had print outs for ever part for them to match at microcenter, even arctic silver 5 saving me 5 dollars) 149.99 for the E8400 and its nice to hand pick out your EO :) I was not willing to push my luck with the egg on stepping. I was laughing when they held up my video card and told me it was 180.00 No its not I will pay 99.00 after rebate, thank you. Because the egg says so. After rebates my build in sig (I already had a good monitor, keyboard, and mouse, speakers, etc, came to about 850-900 if I am correct not too bad.

I'm not getting the 2nd 2x2gb of ram (to lower cost), 4gb should work fine. Right now the order is $1075 before rebates which is good so I can get the no interest for 1 year on Newegg.

You guys are sure 500w is enough right? I see other people with similar specs to mine but with 750 psu's or even more sometimes.

Ordering tomorrow! Excited

Yes I'm typing from a computer I just built two days ago with a GPU with just as much draw and a core 2 duo processor over clocked by 30% you'll be fine. I would switch the PSU to the OCZ like I recommended, it is dead silent don't let that bad review deter you from getting a better PSU.

Do you not believe that my E8400 with 8800GT, 2 36gb Raptors, 1 200gb IDE HD, 1 300gb SATA hd, and 2 DVDRW's is not running fine on a 500 watt Antec? I'd personally go with a 600 watt or so if I was to do it again but mine is fine.

everything to me looks pretty good aside from the asus mobo, but asus and i havent liked one another since pentium 2 days.

all that with a monitor and OS is a pretty good deal, trying to get as much free shipping as you possibly can?
one thing i have done was ordered from new egg and zipzoom fly because one place had the same part for the same price but some one had free shipping, keep it in mind. they generally got here at about the same time.
