Cpu vs Gpu

ok, well, going off of the rig in my sig, exactly as it is in my sig, should I go with gpu or cpu folding? the cpu can easily be clocked higher.

How about both.. Running GPU and CPU for folding. We use VM to fold on linux. smp is faster on linux than windows so it could give more ppd.

I would suggest that you start with the GPU folding, since the 2 HD4850's will produce more PPD that your dual core CPU. Once you get both GPUs folding, see how much CPU time they are using. ATI GPUs tend to use a lot of CPU as well. Then you can decide whether it makes sense to add CPU folding or not.
