Was just about to shut this rig down to change out mobo. Do not want to lose these WU,s.

So no way to get it to send the other completed units?

If the core was not 14, then they can be sent for full credit. Only The 14 core wu's were not supposed to go out. The Pande guys say to delete them. Full details are in the FAH forum that Jolly Swagman linked to.

You might try this. Stop the client, open the work directory and delete all the files NOT associated with WU 1. Run qfix then restart the client. That may keep you from losing Project: 5751 (Run 6, Clone 169, Gen 118) and get you out of the core 14 loop.

Have already tore rig down. Now have 3 cards running in my 780i. All seem to be happy together. Now have to set up the 790i, only have 1 card for it right now.:(

My two rigs that were stuck on core_14 eventually returned the completed work and downloaded core_14 to run project 5900. One 5900 crashed and the other is still going. See the log below. Your time stamps are similar to mine, so you may have pulled the trigger a few minutes early.

If the FAH files are still intact on the old rig, you may be able to transfer the work to another working rig and return the results, similar to moving work from one rig to another. If so, suggest your run -oneunit on a GPU, then after the current work completes, delete the work folder and copy the finished work (work dir, queue.dat, fahcore_11, unitinfo.txt) into the working rig and restart FAH.

Next problem is, installed 3x GTX 260 in my 780i. Points production has dropped as it is taking 2 cards twice as long to complete a frame. All cards running same shader clocks.

Could be two instances are running on same GPU. check the GPU flags. You can watch each GPU temperature as you start each instance to confirm which GPU the instance is running on.

Looks like a conflict with SMP. Shut down smp and temp on #3 shot up to over 72c running like it should. Then shut dowm, showing unstable machine and will not restart.

make sure you have priority set to 96 in your cfg files for GPU clients, then manually set priority to low for SMP client.

Thanks, made the change on 3x gpu,s and all running. Have not changed smp yet. Now heat on that middle card is going to be a problem. Have a VF 1000 on it and it is still hitting 76c. Can not run this like this. Would card be better off with stock cooler back on it?

For a multi-card rig I'd probably stick with the stock cooler only because it exhausts air outside the case, I think that's how the stock cooler on those GTX260s works, right? I always tried to stick with a case that let me blow cold outside (the case) air directly on the cards, as well. Not sure if that's a possibility in your case.

You have to be making some sweet PPD at this point, that's for sure.

Open bench, no case. Also how do I change priority on the smp to low?

Task manager, If it's just WinSMP I would assume you'd need to right-click each core and then "set priority", low.

Just running one instance of smp since it is on a E8500. Have not restarted it yet.

With WinSMP I think it still runs 4 core processes, would need to set each of those to "low" via task manager to avoid them stealing CPU cycles from GPU clients.

But the gpu client I run does not use but 1-4% cpu.

It's been my experience that no matter how small the CPU usage for each GPU client, unless SMP and/or VM priority is set to low they will still steal CPU cycles. Never made sense to me as VMs always left 6-9% available but if I didn't have them at low priority my GPU PPD would be cut by around 30%

I pulled 3rd card. Too many problems. Put it in second rig.
