I'm just in the process of turning my current "all-use" rig into a dedicated DAW for audio recording. So, I'm slowly purchasing components when I can, to build a new rig that will be used for media/gaming/eveything else.

I'm up to getting the case next. My last case (now for my DAW) was an NZXT Hush. It's decent, but it's the reason it's for my DAW. It wasn't anything spectacular.

I was looking at the Antec 300. I'm going to do mild OC. I only have 2 HD's so I don't need lots of bays. The only thing I would like is a front Firewire. I see the 300 doesn't have that. It's only for camcorder transferring which I only do maybe not even once a month, it might not even be an issue.

But, I do have a couple other choices that have the front firewire.

Oh, i'm trying to stay under $70-75. Free shipping was a plus for the 1st item. Just to give you some info.

Anybody have some ideas or experiences with some nice case? Thanks!!

The Antec 300 is a very nice case. Good airflow, small and cheap.

I've owned two to date, and I'd buy another if I needed a smaller case.

EDIT: Both cases you listed are flimsy/cheaper cases unlike the 300.

Thanks for the info. I can live without the front Firewire if the case materials are that much different. I really thought about the 900 but it's just more than I need and trying to budget a little more. Not budget on everything, but the case can let me spend more on something else.

:)
