Overclocking 4870

Recently I Ben overclocking a lot on my card,
it is me or does overclocking gpu's seem less effective then overclocking CPUs ?
Point being I don't even see a frame increase or well any type of advantage in game by doing such!
Then again my over clock seems low
what are you guys getting for max overclocks with this card?
Is there a diffrence?
I sorta feel like over clocking video cards is not worth it because there is no real gain, then again it seems you really can't oc a 4870 by 30% more so you can see the effectiveness, or can you?

well it looks like you have the asus top bios so your not gonna gain much like someone like me who just to a nice jump flashing his 4870s to asus top bios

I think I'll get better clocks with this new cooler
maybe I can do a volt mod now and it won't artifact due to better cooling
that's my hopes
I'm doing a massive panflo 190cfm heatsinks mod with the accelero

i got mine sitting on water and they are nice in cool. last nite ran a 3dmark 06 with the gup at 860 no problem. im sure it will go higher as well!
