What's going on at Asus site?????

I just got home from Iraq and decided to update my Asus 4890.
When I go to Asus it wants me to download a 5mb file and after the download it asks for money to use the program.
Isn't Asus happy enough that I bought one of their cards :screwy:

Am I missing something

Why would you use Asus branded drivers?

www.ati.com Get the new 9.10 catalyst drivers.

That's not the asus site, it's a fake.
Real asus site is asus.com.

That said, download the drivers from ATI. (Which, incidentally, is ati.com)

Kinda figured it was a fake but not sure.
As for why I use Asus drivers is because I use Smart Doctor.

Smart Doctor is a paid program too afaik? It makes you pay to find "new" drivers to be updated.

Why use smart doctor? CCC can do all of that, adjust the core/memory, fan speeds, monitors temperature.. And even if you really want to use it, its still just a program. Im sure you can download it from any 3rd party site but you can still use the ATI Catalyst drivers which are always a plus (and not install CCC).

Hey Troop! If you want to use smartdoctor becasue of the voltage tuning

Try Rivatuner or MSI afterburner(Rivatuner with a Nice Gui). Asus Software mostly blows.
