Comment on my build.

I was wondering if anyone would comment on my build and tell me if they think something will not work here. I have the following hardware ordered:

CPU: Intel i7 920 D0 Stepping

I'm planning to overclock this to 4.2 Ghz. My only concern is maybe the CPU Cooler. It looks like it could hold it's own. But i chose it over the Noctura D14 because that thing would block my Kingston RAM since the RAM has such huge sinks on it.

Also one question. The CPU cooler comes with thermal paste. Is that better than Arctic Silver 5 compound? I have some already and wondered if it would be better to use the AS5?

Does the comment have to be about your components? Because I really love curry and chips. I mean rice? Just doesn't do it for me. Chips all the way.

Also for getting 4.2 outa that i7 I would reccomend a v8 or something. Also the V8 is a lovely cooler =)
I don't know about thermal paste but you might as well go for some aftermarket stuff just for the reinsurance.
Also the GPU doesn't quite match up with the CPU there. If your primary goal is gaming or GPU intense applications then you want to go with a 5870 or a 295 with an i7 @ 4.2GHz. Anything less and your going to get quite a hefty bottleneck (especially with that 260)

uh..i wouldnt use the v8.. or the big heatsinked kingston..grab that noctua you want and look for ram from corsair/g.skill etc with better timings if you got the money to spend.. unless you're seriously benching you don't really need the 2000 ram when 1600 is more than enough and may not be noticeable at all..course this is my opinion!

Ram doesn't overheat unless overclocked/overvolted just like everything else. you should be able to clock 1600 ram w/o a problem and no need for the heatsink on there.. just have good cooling overall and you're set.. though i seriously don't think the v8 will cut it when you get into the 4.2 range..

The 750 watt psu looks a bit overkill, but having headroom is always good. You probably only need 650.
